Precision for generations

As always in life, it all starts small: In 1972, Emil Hornemann founded his tool factory, initially operating from his garage. In 1983, he moved to the company building on Hönnetalstraße, where the tools were initially manufactured using conventional grinding machines.

In 1985, his son, Martin Hornemann, joined the company. This led to expansion and, above all, the technical expansion of the production facilities.
As part of this further development, the first 5-axis CNC grinding machine was purchased in 1992.

Emil Hornemann then handed over the baton to his son Martin on January 1, 2008.

This was followed by a continuous professionalization of the manufacturing processes, including the purchase of additional 5-axis CNC machines from Saacke and two CNC saw sharpening centers from Schmidt Tempo.

In 2016, Mark Klenner joined the team as an employee.

In 2019, the machine portfolio was brought up to the current state of the art with the implementation of a 5-axis CNC grinding machine from Schütte.

After Martin Hornemann entered his well-deserved retirement on 1 March 2025, the Klenner couple ensured the continuation of the company and renamed it to its current name KPT CNC precision tools.

And even under a new name, further development continues: With the new acquisition of a state-of-the-art measuring device from Zoller, our customers can continue to rely on the highest quality of their tools.

To be continued…

What is the difference

us from the competition?

Especially in these challenging times, customer relationships and the services we offer require reliability in terms of material quality, dimensional accuracy, and fit, as well as adherence to agreed delivery times. And – last but not least – price is always crucial if the final product is to undergo realistic and market-driven pricing throughout all production steps.

All of these are criteria that have made our customers satisfied and, over the course of many long-term business relationships, real friends.

Whether you're a large manufacturing company or a small craft business, you all appreciate that we love our craft and our products!

A large inventory of raw parts and a machine park with loading systems for up to 100 workpiece positions enable us and you to have short processing and response times when there is a corresponding urgency and, as a result, short and quickly coordinated delivery times.

FIRST OF ALL:

The feasibility analysis

After all, it should fit and function perfectly when you want to use your desired tool! Therefore, before starting any tool development and production, we always conduct a feasibility analysis, into which we incorporate all our experience and expertise. Ultimately, it all comes down to answering the question: "Are the ideas technically feasible in terms of manufacturing, repeatability, and service life?"

We love details

We'll answer this exact question in detail in advance. You can then rely on the results of these analyses and calculations and begin manufacturing your product or workpiece soon!

Let's go:

Our production

Sometimes the devil is the squirrel. To ensure that technical or production-related requirements on site are also taken into account when implementing your order, we are happy to offer you an on-site assessment of the production conditions and tailor the requirements for the desired tool to your individual needs.

To ensure the perfect fit, we then proceed to production based on the specified drawing or sketch. Alternatively, we can also undertake the design based on a sample or a finished part. Even manufacturing a tool based on data from an imported DXF file is no problem for us and our team!

Throughout our entire production process, every tool undergoes precise measurement using state-of-the-art measuring machines from Zoller and Tesa.

Upon request, we will document the actual dimensions for you and include the certificate as a test report with your delivery!

ON THE ROAD:

Shipping

Better safe than sorry. And better reliable than reliable. To ensure your new tool can be used in your production at the desired and, above all, agreed date, we work with various service providers.

By arrangement, we are happy to personally deliver the finished product to a nearby location. This gives you even more flexibility and allows you to be up and running faster!

Reorder:

Made easy

Especially if something goes wrong during the production process or a tool is defective, it can be crucial to be able to quickly provide a replacement. For this purpose, we store all dimensions and data of our customers' tools upon request.

This will, of course, be done with the utmost discretion and under safe conditions!

Because the data is already available in case of doubt, we can often offer you subsequent adjustments without re-manufacturing and recalculating. Above all, you also benefit from the option of reordering your tool easily, promptly, and without complications.
